The error code as I mentioned previously = speed sensor circuit malfunction so its not transmission fault and to be honest there is zero indication there is anything wrong the transmission as I have said previously the car works perfectly before the warning lights come on. And also couldn't be speed sensor as like I said that is the part they replaced recently (but didn't fix the issue) so I am sure it is definitely something to do with ABS malfunctioning and fact all the warning lights that come on are braking system related I think backs up that theory. Obviously could be several things in that category but anyway like I said in previous post, the garage is going to arrange to "borrow this part" from mercedes soon and fit it to my car and see if that does resolve the issue. If it does then its defiantly that and then I will just need to arrange to get the part for as cheap as possible! So just have to wait and see I guess...
The code you mention is definitely a transmission code and not a wheel speed code.
If a wheel speed sensor went on the blink then I could see the ABS/traction control stepping in to correct what it felt was a loss of grip in one wheel.
I guess its too late now but I would have thought that a rotor would have felt much hotter when compared to the rest of the rotors if it had been braking all the time or more often.
Other parts that can cause the ABS to operate when it should not be are the sensors that determine which way the car is facing and which way the car should be facing, acceleration monitors, yaw sensors and the like of which I have absolutely no idea about.
The code is for a faulty part inside the transmission.
The wheel speed indicator is something like this:
