By all means I know our healthcare - medical is a sad state of affairs. An appendectomy for my wife was right at 10 grand. Researching this I saw cost for the same procedure as high as 25k ! I do not say the system is perfect, too many beaurocrats in it, but my sinus operation and later a hernia operation cost nothing.
Some people do not have docs so they have to go to the walk in clinics, you will not be kicked out of a hospital if you are indigent or whatever.
