Thanks for that info, at great expense to the treasury I ordered a roll. Might work perfectly and solve the problem.

The product must be clear, .005 or so thick max. not get marked by the bumpers and not slide due to the slight downward force exerted in it by the bumper. This last requirement is the hardest to get. Tape adhesives are great when put in tension but fail easily from shear forces.

Any other ideas ?
