Default Re: U-joint replaced around $100.00

I found a shop in indiana that would do a 1 piece steel shaft for $300 or $350, ahhh, no it is not a 1 piece shaft using two flex discs, with the angles, that doesn't even make sense. Making the mounting plate would be easy.
And gets rid of the flex discs and the carrier bearing.
My work location changed and was not able to get mine done, I wanted to try for a aluminum anyway, the problem with that is the slip joint in the drive shaft.
But I am in Nashville TN working now, should find a place when I get time to look around, haven't in past few months, city pricing be alittle higher though.
Make the single, need a slip joint, and make a mounting plate to bolt in place of the flex disc and can bolt on new mounts for u joints.
I have changed several u joints with just a good vise and some sockets, usually use a torch to take joint out, alot easier and does not hurt drive shaft, well unless you don't have a clue what a torch is.
