I wouldn't take it to just any old welding shop. I'd want someone who is experienced with this application.
I did find a shop here that specializes in aluminum wheel repair. They quoted me $150-175 for the repair, plus $15 for mounting and balancing. That seems a little steep to me, but it presents me with an interesting decision.
For around the same money, I can 1) fix this wheel, or 2) purchase a reconditioned factory wheel, or 3) purchase a new aftermarket wheel.
What would you do?
