Thank you for the welcome.
I've been lurking here awhile.
My Hubby say I'm like a teenage boy with his first car. If so they sure have fun!!! 😃

Well GOOD FOR YOU! It's very self satisfying and rewarding to just dig in and do it yourself. Well done!

I'm thinking about making you my THIRD wife . . . LOL

Geez, Red Dog, if you already have a spare, do you need another? And here I am wothout any. Anyway, I made a wood frame to form my grill mesh over. After figuring out what I didn't like about the other aftermarket grills, I made a mockup from stiff foam, then duplicated it in wood, now I am forming the mesh over that form but really can't complete the process until it's warm enough to do a little welding. I also finished making the small cannards, ready to paint, that I have been contemplating for 2 years. So this has been a big winter, with the cannards made, a new grill and matching lower inserts, a new completely polished exhaust system with new tips and CAT delete and side and back window tinting. Oh, and I'm planning new front and back insignias.

Gave her a quick wash then out for a 150km drive. Top up then top down, just cruising at the legal limit ( most of the time) beautiful weather at 32 degrees C. Got a few more "nice car" when I stopped for a coffee. God I love driving this wee beastie, just so much fun. Makes me feel like a million dollars. Now to stop dreaming about driving as Im back at work tomorrow. Will miss my baby for the next 2 weeks.

I finally initiated and got my Eurocharge tune and applied it to my N/A.
What a bunch of great guys to work with, and WOW what a difference.
I think that I'll have a big smile on my face all week (probably much longer)!!

My first xfire saw snow and alot of it. I thought it did well for what it was. I ended up pulling the wire for all the traction aids and it did much better but it kept my hands and feet extremely busy lol I kept mine in a heated garage so snow and the wing was never an issue. I would just leave it up if it became an issue.

From my experience it will crunch whatever is under it and if it can't seat all the way it will return to the up position. This will trigger a flashing warning light on the spoiler switch and disable the spoiler.

That's what I remember from my first one.

Alternator changed
Tensioner Pulley changed
Oil cap changed
H7 high,Low and fog bulbs changed

What`s next..?
Tight up the steering wheel column
Gasket upper level on the engine, did the right bank, now left bank needs it
Fix broken fog light
Clean K&N CAI filter
Need to check transmission fluid level
Maybe the starter as preventive. 10 years later it might be time

This part was pulled from a 2003 Mercedes-Benz CL600 AMG.
It looks different, but the mount and plug are the same.

At any rate, now I have a good spare alarm module ( until the batteries die )

We picked up an '04 6-speed Blaze Red coupe on Saturday. It was on the dealer lot for 90 days so we got a good deal ($6000). It has 77,000 miles and runs great. It's in overall good condition, but it does need a few things:
- New hood strut
- Will need a respray on the bumpers (eventually)
- Headlights are decent, but will need a buffing
- Needs a new passenger sun visor

The hood strut should be in today. I do miss the six-speed and will be looking forward to driving it and fixing it up here and there as my spring/summer project.

Evan. Man that car really looks great!!!

BTW. You mentioned you have installed red lights inside...where did you get the cargo light (the long one that is located on the left fenderwell)...I have been unable to find one to fit..it is 37/38MM, right?...Please let me now, it's the only one I'm missing...Thanks...Carl
