Refinished the center consoles on both SRT6 roadsters . . .

The SEM Classic Coat shown is the right color (for an SRT6 console), it's easy to use and the job turned out P E R F E C T!

Nice looking results. I'm a true believe in SEM products. Been using it for years.

Thanks Mike! Since it is a show/weekend car, we waited 30 days until after we sprayed to wet sand. It has been almost 3 months since the paint was sprayed, so I will probably just go ahead. I already have the 105 and 205 polishes along with some sealant from Meguairs I really like (purple stuff). Once it is done I will post some pictures...

Rotated my tires today! Saw something that triggered a memory of forum posts about the rear sway bar mounting points cracking/failing, so I snapped a couple of pictures to post in the suspension forum. Cleaned up the rims and the hub mounting points (where the rims match up to the hub). Inspected the rotors, all clean, bright, and no scratches/grooves on any inside/outside surfaces. Verified the SUPER low amount of brake dust anywhere (from the 4 wheel 'centric posi-quiet' ceramic pads mod I did back in Feb 2012), did an overall look-see to feel good about how the undercarriage has been holding up and didn't find anything that jumped out at me to be concerned with. Took my time and tried to be extra careful putting her up on 4 jack stands (sure wish there were a few more easily identified hard points so the car jack could be used to lift and then easily place a jack stand without worrying about something shifting/sliding off them). The jacking points do move some and the underside running board just doesn't look good to rig up for supporting the car (remember you can't jack and use the jacking point to support at the same time). I always have the car shift this or that way (jacking it up) when the wheels come off the concrete pad (yes its a 20x25' level pad I work on). As it is I use the frame at the point where the front two thin cross-members pass near the rear inner side of the front wheels, and in the rear I block a jack stand each side where the round ribbed mounts are (each side of the rear bell housing). So, she's good for another 6000 (or so) miles until rotation again. I am thinking a new set of tires and the TPMS mod will occure before that 6000 gets here though.

On the NA roadster

Pull codes for "E"light
New O2 sensor on second bank.
New CPS.

Miata had warned me the CO2 sensor was failing last fall. Just got tired of pulling the battery cable.
I did the CPS, just because.
(boy is it hard to find a Bosch CPS)
Oil and filter changes

Fixed the TPM lite with a piece of black tape. Easy peezy.

This weekend I hope to strip old wax and lay down a new coat of Meguars.

Took mine to the local cars and coffee this morning. Lots of red BMW's (8 in one line alone) but also a Viper, 3 different Ferrari's and some cool odd ***** like a pristine '86 Shelby Charger with 17,000 original miles, a beautifully restored VW pickup and a really clean first gen Toyota Celica. The s2000 and Subie guys were notably absent for a change.

Nothing. It's all ready for CAA6, but I did wash & wax my '89 probe :

Born on the 44th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, 111,000 miles, everything still works including the digital dash and trip computer. A/C is ice cold, still will do 40 MPG on the highway at 70.

I am kind of the odd man out when it comes to the cars from the 1980's, I actually liked a lot of them. The best part about them now is that you just don't see that many around so, nice clean well kept examples are cool to me. Your Probe definitely qualifies.

Clay barred and waxed the car getting ready for CAA6...

Yesterday was mechanical things, New flex disks installed, replaced the drivers side engine-mount (again!), resoldered the RCM...

I think the car is finally as ready as I can make it for CAA, just need to detail the interior and clean the top.

Thank you sir.
Have had many offers for it, but I just can't bring myself to part with it.
BTW, it had NO rust or corrosion for it's first 21 years, then 3 years ago I drove it up to Dayton in the winter. Been trying to fix all the rust since.
It's a losing battle. Glad my Crossfire has never exposed to that.

I installed the turn signal side view mirrors on the rescue roadster (started yesterday then had to work . . . finished up today). It was not as difficult as I thought it would be. A worthy investment / upgrade to the car. I am VERY satisfied with them.

Another Mobil1 sale to broadcast. Advance Auto, bottle of the 5qt PLUS the Mobil1 Oil Filter $29.99. The filter is pretty expensive (as far as car filters go) so with the cost of the oil and filter, it is an attractive price. I'll remind you (in a previous post I mentioned a sale) that Wal-mart has a price rollback for the Mobil1 0W-40 at $23.88 for the 5qt bottle if you don't like that filter.

Finally finished my new grill. this almost completes this years list. New exhaust, new tips, new grill, front cannards, the only thing left is tinting the side windows, nothing radical (35%).
