Yesterday I washed it, detailed it and put it away before the storms hit....

TODAY, I drove it with the top down on a sunny nearly 90 degrees!

Put new front brakes and wipers on, I was surprised how easy and cheap it was compared to my 98 caddy. I love working on this car lol, everything is so straightforward and nothing is severely corroded. I just went with Autozone brand Duralast pads and rotors, nothing fancy, but good. Got Bosch Icon wipers...

That's cool! A good friend of mine from first grade has a small electrical contracting business that I hire to do small electrical jobs around my house.

New Rain-X Latitude wipers and polished the exhaust tips. Replaced the cabin air filter with a charcoal filter. Vacuumed the interior and sprayed it with enzyme + bacteria based odor remover (my car had been stored for 6 months before I bought it).

Got the first wave on detailing done to the engine compartment...actually it all shined up rather quickly after a year of no love.

had to laugh, the detail guy that replaced me is quite the know it all one upper kind of guy. Was practacally insisting that I paint my intake manifold cause "that stuff never shines up-I know, my race truck..blah blah do it my way!" I got mine shining after only 30 minutes by hand.....some people

Well, John, the coupe wouldn't start, and I am charging the battery as we speak. It had a maintainer on it, but must have lost it's ground. The black roadster has a pecking sound it, that I am trying to run down, as it could just be an injector not quite right, so we aren't ready for a Dragon run not quite yet, but we will be up and running by fall for sure...glad you all had fun...would have loved to been there...

I took it to meet up with a few guys from the forum. When I got home, I spent an hour sanding on the gauge pod.

Clean it or use it, that is the question. I ran the Great River Road from the Quad cities to Galena. Now I really need to clean it.

Nice meeting up with you, man! You should've seen the double-takes in the car behind you when we were cruising alongside one another on memorial blvd, haha

Same here, it was great meeting you. That's one of the cleanest Crossfires on here IMO. I love the wheels.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today the tuning cable and CM30 arrived. It took me an hour or so to install it and now the XF drives without losing power. I also noticed the temp gauge is now slightly below the halfway mark, which lower than before.

My HE arrived today also, so I'll plan on installing it this weekend. Hopefull I can get Eurocharged to tune me in the next couple of days.

One last thing, it appears my mechanic was a little rough on the crankshaft seal during the pulley install, as it's sprung a leak. In hindsight, I guess I should have replaced the seal when the pulley was swapped, but that's water under the bridge now.

Jerry and Clint installed the Eurocharged tune in the XF this evening and I'm as happy as can be.
