I use a cellphone running Torque. I have a holder that fits in my CD player slot. I can pop it out for car shows etc. I don't like covering up anything, but this is a compromise. I'm certainly not going to stick any adhesive anywhere. I had a phone mount with wireless charging that used a suction cup on the windshield, but I got tired of taking it off to put my sunscreen in the windshield.

They look fantastic! What about a close-up of the rims? Amazing looking car. Show us the engine bay and interior. I've been told she has many improvements ;-)

Congratulations.

Took some time today to use a refractometer to check the anti-freeze protection on the 2007 Coupe. Protection measured was -45F, so all is good during these next 7-10 days with freezing temps here in Upstate SC.

I would LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ to own a Black RHD SRT-6. Until it came time for any of the unique parts. There were so few made, the parts must be worth their weight in gold. Beautiful car.

Excuse my ignorance... I ignore this acronym RHD. What does it stand for?

Right Hand Drive.
Notice in his photos the brake and power/relay box is on the opposite side from a left hand drive.

Got cleared by the surgeon to bend as necessary, safely, to drive my beloved Crossfire. So I suppose I surrounded it with warm, loving thoughts. It'll be a few days before I try, but I am really looking forward to driving her again. We'll see how the bionic hip feels, though ...

What I've learned in this forum is that any mechanical piece can work again with new "bearings", strong screws and a bit of silicone grease. Good luck with your recovery. 😉

great advice Jim…….take time to recognize that the allure of a rose is not only its beauty and aroma, but its occupation with all things good. There are no bad roses.

Today, I finished replacing the power steering reservoir and flushed the old fluid out.
I had to wait for some help, to turn the steering wheel during the flush process.
I'm posting another "how to" in my Journey with my 2006 roadster thread.

Today I replaced the serpentine belt.

Steps:
  1. remove the radiator's auxiliary fan (sounds like a lot, but it's actually four clips, a plug and a bit of wiggling) to give you some more slack. Easy-peasy and worth it in my opinion. Took the chance to clean the fan and the engine front thoroughly with brake cleaner. Instructions here:
  2. I found this video on how to proceed:
I also installed the rear hatch strobe/flashing light trick when braking. Product here: GS-100A Car LED Brake Stop Light Strobe Flash Controller Module. The thingy will make your LED centre brake light blink rapidly for a couple of seconds, then two longer flashes, and after that the usual red brake light.

How to:
  1. Open lift gate.
  2. Remove bolt underneath a round plastic cover placed at the closing handle (on the right).
  3. Using a plastic tool, thrust it in the outer side of the plastic cover and carefully slide it along the frame. You will feel it "pop" several times all the way round.
  4. Remove bottom plastic cover.
  5. Locate two screws -one per side on the upper plastic cover that will give you access to the LED third brake light. Remove them and repeat prying procedure using the plastic tool. When reaching the centre, bend it, take a peep inside, and you'll see two straight plastic tabs -one on each side of the LED brake light. Pry and wiggle softly: the inside plastic window frame will eventually come out.
  6. LED connector is on the left. Pull gently, disconnect and splice.
  7. The gadget has an IN and OUT direction. Weld/connect the red wire to the blue one (live) and the black wire to the brown (ground).
  8. Reconnect the plug.
  9. Test that it works before reassembly.
  10. Reassemble and brake at will.
A shower and to work now!
