2004 crossfire, took out of winter storage, would not shift sometimes, shut car off and restarted, then would shift, only to not shift again, took to shop and replaced tranny filter and fluid... Filter was plugged....back on the road ...all is well
I got my crossfire on the road for the first time since I bought it. Replaced the starter and had tighed work his magic on my RCM. Now I'm having this same issue. Guess I'll start with a fluid/filter change.

Hey all! It's been awhile since I've posted. Been busy. Here's what I did yesterday. Finally installed my custom wing. Thanks to Richard and crew, from Luxury Autobody and Collision.
Homemade battery vent reservoir. Bought a Dorman 924-254 Battery Vent Tube kit , $5 on amazon, a small plastic bottle some velcro and there you have it. Should do the trick.

It should vent to atmosphere or the pressure will build up and nothing will escape. I do not think I have ever seen any signs of fluid in mine so expect that in most cases it is just gases that leak out and fluid in extreme cases. Any condensate would be trapped in the tube and dry up.

Plus 1, poke a hole in the top SIDE of your little bottle (not the top top) so that it can equalize. Super answer to the missing vent, for many members!
New brakes on rear, ceramic. Oil and filter change. Attempted coolant reservoir leak fix.
Curious about that fix (coolant reservoir?) hope it is working. I think this is a somewhat common occurrence. If the "bottle" on mine ever leaks again, I may VERY CAREFULLY use a source of heat to try to "weld" the plastic together. (used a hot glue gun last time, a few years ago, so far ok).

Do not bother to try, some plastics can be welded using sophisticated equipment but the DIYs amongst us are in for a dismal failure. The screwed in nipple is a good and reliable fix. A black plastic nipple would really hide the fix if it is for the usually broken tank nipple.

Please forgive me; senior moment had me confusing coolant reservoir with windshield washer reservoir LOL!?! Coolant overflow tank has been ok, so far. Thank you anyway for the tips.

He's right as usual. The coolant tank fix I tried didn't hold . Glue just doesn't stick to the tank. I'm going with the the proven method of a threaded brass nipple.
Got the valve covers back on . now painted in VHT SP121 "Chrysler Engine Red " ( i like the irony ) 3 coats primer , 3 color and 3 clear, they are really Shiney . the underhood look is getting there.
Most importantly breather leaks have Gone
next is to paint the intake pipes red to match . or maybe silver im not sure.
I will paint the SRT letters in red
that frendly little ozzy fly will go away too , lol yeah right.
got the front bumper fascia off and it will be painted ...too many stone chips for me.
70,000 miles of bugs on the cooler
gotta clean them out .

Hats off to Maxicichon and alaxfire for installing four shocks and teaching me the ropes. Worth the 77 mile drive to AL Saturday and 8am start! True forum members. Wow. No easy task but they conquered it. Both have amazing 05 blazing red rides too. Immaculate and slick. Photo coming I think. Thanks.
