Crossfires in the Detroit News - August 2013
This week - Crossfires in the Detroit News !!
It all began with this post by this reporter on the CICCI Facebook page....... Hi Crossfire fans, My name is Laurén Razzaq and I am a reporter with the Detroit News. I'm writing on this page because I am working on a story in the run-up to the Woodward Dream Cruise. I'm looking for "new classics"... basically cars that aren't old enough to be considered classic but have a loyal following. I've got GM and Ford represented already and I was hoping for a Chrysler group. I was wondering if there are any Crossfire club members from Michigan who plan to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise. I'd want to ask why you like the car so much and what makes the model so special. I can be reached at lrazzaq@detroitnews.com. If you'd be interested, email me there and we can arrange a time to talk. I'm working on the story for Saturday's paper, so hopefully you can get back to me before then. Thanks! Laurén Razzaq The Detroit News Our very own Acrispy1 (Tony) put this on the Woodward Dream Cruise Thread on CICCI and I immediately sent an email to Lauren. She called me the following day and I explained that I was a past president of the CICCI and a resident of Illinois. I told her a bit about CICCI and the history here and with that I gave her contact info for "Jim Diamond" (Harbor) a local Michigan guy, A CICCI member and a retired Chrysler employee. She quickly made contact with Jim and also "Clint Spevak" (ZH SRT6) another local Crossfire Owner and CICCI member who worked for Chrysler. Jim was asked to do a interview and drive down Woodward ave along with Clint for some video clips the following day. They met the reporter and video team at noon the next day and here is the video portion of a printed article / story that is to be published Monday in "The Detroit News" Woodward Dream Cruise : Chrysler Crossfire | The Detroit News |

Re: Crossfires in the Detroit News - Dream Cruise
Pretty cool! They mistyped his car though... In the body it's an '06, in the picture caption it's an '05.
