I rearended another car, and now the insurance company wants to total the car because they have to order a new hood from Germany and there is no time limit for delivery. My repairman said he will gladly look for one in the states, but the sources he uses can't find one. Does anyone reading this forum have any suggestions for a replacement hood and grille for my 2004 Crossfire Coupe? HELP! I don't want to lose my baby!!

 

Tell your insurance company to check out LKQ online...they have hoods...depending, yours could be straightened (ask me how I know), and if you check Craigslist, there are numerous sources, if they will let you use them...again, ask me how I know...I was able to find a grille on eBay for $229...

 

Try Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market to search scrap yards for hoods. I pulled up 7 hits for a hood.

 

Umm.. there is a thread.. dallas area.. white coupe for sale with carbon fiber hood.. and the alabaster hood was for sale on the side.. was back around Nov. 3rd.. Texas Motor Speedway race weekend it was still for sale..
