ashtray won't close fix
 

Opened the ashtray today and now it won't close.

Simple but not elegant fix.

Parts needed:
1/2" wide superslider self-stick tape (self stick felt tape 1/8" to 3/16" thick)
Notebook divider tab - or any clear tab

Cut a 1/2" to 3/4" long piece of superslide tape and attach to the drives vertical side of the coin tray cover just behind the front face.

Using double sided tape attach the notebook tab on top of the superslide tape so the tab protrudes past the face of the coin tray cover. When you push the ashtray closed, the superslide tape keeps it closed and the tab allows you to pull it open again.

Not elegant but it works.
