Glad to hear that your Crossfire is back to normal. I am curious why the false codes appeared. It will be interesting to learn about this from others that are knowledgeable.

Had a large number of "false" codes but once cleared they stayed gone and light is off (went on some errands and still off).

For the AR I was given a list of the "false" codes which were what I might expect, all B codes.:
b10f5, b1003, b1122, b1123, b1102, b1103, b210d, b210a

Am told a B210D is "low battery" and can cause all sorts to other codes. Since the list above includes both high and low values, it would not surprise me, kind of thing I would expect from a bad ground.

But bottom line is that codes were declared "false", are now cleared, and the airbag light is off.

Any guesses why this happened ?

Purely a guess, could the tech have left the NEG cable on initially, then the code set, then they all went nuts with key on trying to figure out why the light was on and drained the battery? OK, who knows really? PLEASE make sure your SRS system does its 'Self Test' during startup. That will tell you if they 'fixed' it or just fixed the dash light (if you know what I mean). Hope your back 100%!

When I turn the key on or start the engine the airbag light comes on for a few seconds then goes out and stays out. To me this means it is running the self test and passing.

Hope this all helps the person with the '08 that also had the light remaining on.

Better start buying used Takata air bags now, the prices might start going through the roof.

I feel that I believe that the air bags are probably just fine in all of these years and models, neither of mine have ever deployed and if either was bad that probably should have happened in all this time,
plus recalls are scams to get the car at the dealer to sell parts and services and even get you to trade yours in

Well I guess you could trip the air bag if you have one of the proven faulty ones and see if you get some shrapnel in your body like Pizzaguy did in his accident.

Just wondering how the airbag recall turned out for the 06-07 Cross fire owners. Did Chrysler eventually get all the replacement stock and did everyone with recalled cars get new investors installed? Did they ever expand the recall to the passengers side ? My son's Mazda 6 started with a driver's side only recall. After they replaced it they replaced it a second time because we found out the first replacement was an identical part to the ones that were exploding but new.. On the same day they installed the second drivers side updated airbag module, they also added the passenger side to the recall....so that was changed with the revised module, too. I am totally convinced that my two Buicks, that were never recalled are most likely affected too but because there have yet to be any explosions in those two cars, they go unrecalled.Just a bit feeling. How many of you Cross fire owners actually have received your replacements as of now, December 2018?

Takata may find it hard to get investors these days. You mean inflators.

I'd have to see that in order to believe it.

Not sure I agree 100% with your perspective above. Especially since there are documented fatalities with Takata airbags that sprayed metal shards when energized during impacts. However, when I took my 2007 in for the recall service, the customer service tech did hookup to the OBD2 to read any codes for additional service work opportunities. But I checked the OBD2 prior to going to the dealer that day and there were not any codes.

My 2007 was repaired without incident by one of the two CDJR dealers locally. This particular dealer still had 2 Service Techs working that received training on the Crossfires. They still had the hardware to reset the SRS fault code when the recall repair was completed. Both Techs are nice guys and we've talked before several times about the car and issues that pop up now & again.

Exactly, the inflators ARE dangerous - the manufacturer REALLY screwed up.

Fixed that for you, the rest of your post is off base, but what appears above is obviously the case, in a lot of cases.
