Default Tuning valve Vacuum tube

2004 manual

I am trying to fix an engine idle stumble (only happens with ac off). One step I am taking is replacing all of the vacuum tubes. There is this one vacuum tube on the front of the engine. Supposedly controls the valve inside of the manifold to adjust runner length?

Is there a nipple on the bottom of the manifold that accepts this vac tube? (right where the red arrow is on the part diagram pic.)

Any suggestions on how to get the new tube onto the nipple without having to remove the intake manifold?

Never done it myself, but from what I have read, this line gets really brittle from the engine heat.
DON'T BREAK THE NIPPLE, IF YOU DO, THEN NEW MANIFOLD.

There is no nipple!

Cut the hose mid way and hope the bottom portion is not rotted. Then used a vac hose joint and replace the top half.

If the whole hose is rotten, like mine was, then
cut the hose off with about 1 inch of meat on the end.

I then pounded a brass nipple in and shaved off the end to shorten the nipple and add clearance,

You must remove the manifold to do this.

So you took of the manifold and were not able to replace the entire hose?
