If these OEM Bosch parts are prone to failure are there better substitutes? Or was there a bad batch of parts? Has anyone reported failure with the Asian variety CPS?
So far it is only known that the Bosch CPS are the ones that are reliable from the start, whereas the off brands tend to always cause problems almost immediately after installation. Almost everyone that has reported that they bought an off brand from a local parts store has had the same scenario.... the car will run fine for a day or 2 and then the same problems resurface. Also not known is how many failures could of been associated with a bad connector. It's thought that the aftermarket CPS pin-outs are not as thick as the Bosch and therefore loose contact after several cycles of heating & cooling. The only reliable factor seems to point to using only the Bosch units, since that is what originally worked from the factory!

Today I contacted speedout.
They gave me complete refund and said to keep the part.
Still looking for a back up unit.

How long did it take you to get the part, I ordered mine from speedout but haven't received it yet. Going to send it back if it has no Bosch markings. thanks

Mine was delivered in 10 days. Took 1 day for refund to hit my account. Your's won't have Bosch branding, so you may as well start the refund process now.
Interesting that they don't want the part returned. Cost of return shipping to China must exceed cost of part.
Good luck.

If the problem with non-Bosch sensors really is skinny pins, I wonder if you could just give them a bit of a twist so they make better contact with the harness connector ? Anyone try that ?

I can verify that this one sold and sent by Amazon is a genuine Bosch (I ordered it in February).

I have to ship the imitation back and pay shipping charges, did anyone else have to do this. Was wondering what it is going to cost to ship back from US to China.

you need to file your claim through Amazon go to their website find your item that you purchased and file a claim stating it's not as advertised the seller will then refund your money and you don't have to return the item.

Well I don't know what else to tell you it worked for everyone else. You must be doing something different?? Maybe someone else will chime in here with clear instructions I'm not at home and I'm having trouble doing this on my cell phone.

I was going to buy this as a spare, until Amazon told me "it was not a genuine replacement part for a Crossfire". I'm glad now I didn't. I wonder why though, Amazon told me that, and none of you were told that.
I have a feature set up at Amazon called "Garage" and have all my vehicles listed there, every time I look at a part it tells me if it fits one of my cars. I have looked up some Mercedes parts just to see if it fits the Crossfire, all the others have.
