sound deadening

Has anyone used Hushmat or Dynamat sound deadening material in a Coupe, to reduce rear road noise? If you have any experience with these two materials, or any other, pro or con, please let me know. I'd like to put the material under the carpet in the trunk area. I see there are many different brands on the internet, just don't know what works and what doesn't.

Thanks,

Jim

This is the fourth post of yours asking about these materials in 24 hours.
Which one should I reply in? ;)

I have all my trunk panels out and it is noisy inside. While I look into the headliner replacement I am thinking of adding some sound deadening to the car.
Waldig added some to his roof while he had his headliner out, so I may add some there. The rear fenders could take some as well, a bit awkward to do there though.
DynaMat seems the favourite, never use any thing with asphalt in it, maybe you cannot buy it these days though, it smelt forever like a tar job on the street I’m told.
Waldig did a thread on his roof, worth looking at if you have not seen it.

180 - Thanks for the info. I may do the same since I have a sagging headliner also.
