OMG...run away from the dealer...fast
I'm looking for a cabin air filter for my roadster. None of the local auto parts stores seem to carry them. I can find them online for about $18.00 but thought I would call my local Chrysler dealer to see if they had one in stock. I was willing to pay up near $25 if they had one. The parts guy tells me he does not have them in stock but can have it the next day if I want. I asked the price and he told me.....$143.12. OMG ...... This was the first time I have called them for anything with the Crossfire. I'm pretty sure it will be my last. $143.12??????? Are you kidding me? It's a $20 dollar filter.
EDIT...I had forgotten that we have a OReilly parts store in town I just called them. They will have me one tomorrow. Microgard Carbon filter $17.99. I'll compare it's quality to the original Mercedes filter I just pulled out of my 06 roadster and let you all know.
