Default Our member "ms gump" (Judi) passed away January 7th

I'm sad to share this news with the Crossfire community today
One of our owners that attended several of the Crossfire events over the past 10 years that I also attended passed away last night from cancer.
Judi Graves Hall aka "ms gump" also on her license plate.
Judi attended the "Woodward Dream Cruise" events each summer in Michigan and lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan
Judi also attended a couple of the "Tail of the Dragon" events in North Carolina
Here she is by her beloved Yellow Roadster
She will be missed by many of us

Judi was a lovely person who's company I enjoyed on several Dragon meet occasions. Yes, she will be missed.

Sorry to hear of her passing. While I don't exactly recall her personally, I do remember the car & distinctive license plate seen at Fontana Dam events.

Judi was a great lady, and I was really impressed with her fearless sense of adventure. She was always up for a Tail of The Dragon, WWDC, northern MI tour, Orphan Car Show, or whatever....She just enjoyed having a good time with the group.
I was on many trips with her (and TJ), and she will truly be missed. We had a lot of great times and laughs together, particularly in Northern MI. She was all about fun, family & friends.
RIP Ms. Gump.

Judi was part of our group that we thoroughly enjoyed. She always had great and interesting stories. My best memories of traveling in Michigan were made with Judi and her grandson TJ. Tammi and I wish her family the best. This is truly a sad day for many here that knew her.

She will be missed by many of us and I intend to have a time of remembrance at the "Woodward Dream Cruise" Crossfire event on August 17th
in Memorial Park at 13 mile and Woodward Ave in Royal Oaks, Michigan
Judi was the person who made the first contact with the persons who manage the parking for Memorial Park and she secured this spot for us all to gather back in 2012 and for many years to come
This is a pic from Memorial Park with Judi.. seen here in the striped shirt and sunglasses standing beside the Designer of our Crossfires "Eric Stoddard"
RIP Dear lady

I sat with her in the lodge one Dragon a few years ago and had a nice talk, got a chance to know a lady that has been to many events I was also at.
She was a dear, another of the ladies I never thought would ever NOT be there....

I met her at the 2010 dragon and 2011 Woodward meets. I found her a gracious lady and a pleasure to talk to. On Woodward she was in front of me and got caught beside someone doing a burn out while we were standing still, her and her car disappeared in a cloud of smoke. The next morning I passed her in the hallway of the hotel and I innocently asked her if she could smell burning rubber.
James1549/Tammi who were directly behind me caught the incident on their camera. Judy is in the cloud of smoke to the left of my old black crossfire.

I am so sorry to hear about Judy (MS. Gump) she was such a sweet and special person. I am so glad I was able to have dinner with her and some of her family the Thursday before the Woodward Dream Cruise at the Moose Preserve last year and as we did every year. The first time I met Judy was at the Dream Cruise when we use to park across the street from where we park now. I remember she was going to wipe her car down with paper towels and windex before we stopped her and a group of us detailed her car for her in about 5 minutes, I will always remember that. I will miss her at the Moose Preserve dinners at the Dream Cruise this year and in the future. My thoughts and prayers go out to all her friends and family. Truly a great person!

Yes Pat we will all remember that day with the RainX bottle in her hand
She was about to spray the painted surface and we said NO and stopped her from detailing her Roadster with glass cleaner and paper towels
She learned a lot about detailing that day and I remember her gratitude for everything she learned from many of us
In this photo she was only using it on her windshield...LOL

I’m sure Judi had a hand in this, but the weather here both yesterday for her visitation, and today for her service, has been absolutely perfect (for mid-January in MI). 100% sunny, calm winds and not a snow flake in sight. Thank you for everything Ms. Gump!
First pic below is of her famous car & plate parked in front of the funeral home, and the second is a profile shot of her car with some random Detroit auto show models who happened to be in the area.....

I'm so happy you were able to attend the visitation.
Also happy the weather cooperated so the Roadster could be brought out from winter storage for this very special occasion !!
Thanks for sharing the pics

At the Woodward Dream Cruise last weekend we came together in Memorial Park for a Memorial service in remembrance of Judi
I arranged these photos I gathered and printed and created this poster for the service and provided it to her family
Judi was a regular attendee at the Woodward Dream Cruise and will be remembered for the fun loving person she was
Her daughter attended this year with Judi's Yellow Roadster which she now owns and enjoys
Other family members attended as well
