Default Turbo charging

I was just reading the thread "project 69" about swapping in a 3.7 MB engine in place of the 3.2 XF engine and it got me to wondering if anyone has ever tried, or is it even possible, to turbo charge our 3.2 engine. The engine swap I referenced is only a 20hp gain. A lot of work for little gain. Turbo's seem to be on about everything now days, so is it possible on the XF? If anyone has done this, let us know how it worked for hp gain and the feasibility of the upgrade.

There are a number of threads here on the forum about that subject. I don't think it worked out as some were hoping.

I recall one year that a rear mounted turbo car showed up at the Dragon.

Ask tighed1 for his opinion, you’ll find a lot of agro in the thread on it here.
Put ‘BEGI’ as keyword in advanced search and username ’ tighed1’.

Thanks, Gentlemen. Maybe that's just not a good idea!

The 3.7 is a mechanical fan, changed out to the electric in the crossfire gives a few more.
Add a tune, intake.
If you want to pony up for the cams also would put you around 300 hp.

Speedy4X4 - Thanks for the input. I think I'll just stay with the stock NA engine. It's really fast enough and keeps me out of trouble.
