I was planning on getting a set of short ram intakes, taking off the existing intake covers, so more air would flow in. But now i realize, there is no need to filter it again through the existing air filter box. And after read 10 pages from the search for "intake" i seen that the only way to bypass that is to either get a magical y splitter or something. So does anyone know how much if any it will hurt to just run the short rams into the existing airbox? And how much work it is to bypass it? Thanks alot for any help. And yes i know the whole story on the air is hotter and all, so no need to tell me again. Any links to the parts i will need (splitters or anything), and any ram intakes anyone know of would help alot.

 

I'm working on an intake that will bypass the airbox completely. I just got my 90* Elbows. 2 of which I need to fab up to make a Y-shape and the other 2 are for bends toward the front on each side of the engine. Basically it's stryfox's intake but I'm doing a dual intake instead of a normal one like he has. You can buy a SL55 or even a C32 Y-splitter but it needs to be modded and no place sells a silicone 90* Y shape piece (hence why I need to fab mine up).

I get the filters tomorrow but I'll be in Orlando. I'm starting everything next week.
