Default Tvt250+

Not quite sure what to call it yet because we have to get back on the dyno.

This will be the addition of most of the bolt on parts you can add to this car without entering too deep into the engine.

Includes:

Modified Thermostat: 70.00
AIR Pump block off plates: 25.00
EGR block off plates: 40.00
Underdrive Pulleys: 320.00
Lighter Crank Pulley: 550.00
Colder Plugs: 90.00
High performance wires: 215.00
Total: 1310.00: Package discount: 1200.00

The plugs will be NGK, Crank pulley will be ABD motorsports, just about all the rest will be from us. Our pulleys will be lighter then all others out there.

We're expecting HP in the 270 range (still with stock airbox).

We've sold about 10 TVT250 kits and are installing some this weekend. I know it' s a lot to absorb, but yes any N/A owner will have a 300HP Crossfire if they so choose.

Sorry to tease so early, but we just finished the pulley install and I had to brag a little.

Before everyone asks, the Underdrive pulleys are not ready for sale and the Crank Pulley is through a different company. Everything else is good to go!

Excellent work!!!!

So is that quoted 270hp without a CAI and tune? I'm a bit confused how you got to 300hp..

Though I can tell you this -- I certainly hope you still have these over the summer when I have the $$ to get both kits.

when will you guys start messaging the intake manifolds, from what I've read the internals components have some turbulent spots that benefit from polishing, also would love to see if someone could make a nice velocity stack for the internal runners like in "project chrome dome" thread.

Wow, Im subscribed to this thread. How much lighter is the crank pulley? Im eager to see the results of the installations, will there be dynos before/after for each of the cars involved?

Will TVT also provide install instructions for the crank and under drive pullies for those of us who cant make it out to you guys?

Thanks,

You guys should start working on a suspension package next or when ever you feel motivated, something to help match the power and handling?

something like speedybenz kits, we could definatly use some stiffer bushings, ooh check out his design on the adjustable spring pads, effing awsome engineering!

I'll start at the top.

All our packages are without CAI and are designed to be universal across the MB scene with use of the stock airbox.

They do require an ECU tune for stage 1 and the same tune wil work into stage 1+.

We've already done a lot of work with the intake manifold and I'm not sure who told you this but there is nothing that can be polished in there as most of it is already a composite plastic/metal depending on year. Just a word of advice if anybody opens their's up MB does not sell the gasket to put it back together so buy a spare manifold as that's the only way they are sold.

Crank pulley will be about 50-60% lighter then stock. Yes we will provide instructions as the pulleys are a pain to put in. We'll make it as easy as possible for you guys though.

In regards to the suspension kit, I've learned very early on to not tread where you're not comfortable. I, personally, have had very little racing experience when it comes to suspension tweaks and absolute handling. I am by no means in any position to market our own line of products for this cause. We will begin to carry additional lines of products and be able to produce simple things like chassis braces and sway bars.

You must all be patient. The benefit of us offering affordable performance is that we have a larger, happier, customer base. The downfall is that it takes longer to build up "research" money. I prefer keeping our costs affordable and our product line will grow as our company does.

bummer on the manifolds

as for suspension, I understand about not your territory, but I'm totally hyped up on those speedybenz adjustable spring pads, they look really simple and easy to install.

There is a lot to do inside the manifolds, just not polishing...

Sorry I just didn't understand how TVT had said they are expecting 270ish HP and then in the next line something about NA owners being able to have 300hp. I take it TVT had meant with future developements NA owners will be able to hit 300hp?

Eh, I dunno. My brain hurts. Need to save money to make car go fast. Herm.

Ah, I am glad there is someone out there who is readily willing to research and develope some performance mods for the m112 in its naturally aspirated form. I'm looking forward to seeing dyno results of the UDPS and crank pullies individually and together. I have waited quite some time and am very glad to have stumbled into the xf community.

thanks,

Maybe he means 270whp and 300 at the crank, figuring in a 10% loss through drivetrain.

I thought underdrive pulleys were for supercharged applications?

So I could shell out another $1200 on top of the TVT250 I just purchased and get all of these fun toys as well?

Honestly, that's alot of stuff and likely a very respectable HP increase for a grand total of $2400.

Expect an email.

lightening the rotating mass of the pulleys and decreasing the speed the accessories are driven at on NA application makes for a snappier throttle and small increase in power ... its purely from decreased parasitic loss unlike from increase in boost pressure in SC apps.

Oh, I get it.

So this 270whp is achievable with $2400? Isn't it kind of wasted when you can't put that power to the ground because of that traction control/ESP/BAS stuff (not that it would keep me back)?

The new injectors are about 202cc I believe. This is HP at the crank not at the wheels.

We've had the prototype pulleys on the car for about a week now, and I want to get at least three weeks of tracking and daily driving before I get into production. These are loosely based off of other pulleys out there with a focus on decreasing weight more.
