how come magnecor quotes me a price of 200 for these wires

 

I just found them (plug wires) for $140 at directtuning.com and $148.56 at ultrarev.com. Part # is 65211.

The plug price is great if it is for the BKR5EIX-11. Cheapest I found was $117.48 for 12 at amazon.com.

 

I would be interested in just the plug wires...

 

Does anyone know the part number for the 10mm set?

 

Their catalog doesn't show a set.....assuming you would have to have a custom set made up. I didn't see a universal set that would work either.

 

What sort of fuel economy and HP increase can I expect if I do this?

 

First, they do not offer a 10mm set for the Mercedes vehicles.

Second, you can typically expect 5-8% increase in fuel economy depending on mods.

Ignition upgrades are really felt if: the stock ignition system is not adequate or you need to change plugs/wires anyway. On a stock car the best you will see is 3-5% better fuel economy, more linear power delivery, and a smoother idle.

This is not a seat of the pants mod. If you are running higher boost, nitrous, or ECU tune then this is an affordable upgrade to further enhance those modifications.
