Default HD Radio HU with GPS and I-pod input

Has anyone found or installed a HD radio HU that also offers a flip out 7" GPS screen w/ connector for an I-Pod?

If I were to replace my OEM HU, it would have to be one like this, oh and silver

No prob...

I think I'm gonna get this one too as it's running about $418. w/shipping on Ebay plus there having a 10% off electronics this month.

I'm Thinking $376.20 to the door is pretty darn good for thier latest model!

Just so you know. I contacted Audivox, and they tell me I'm better of waiting for the new model next year with NAV102. I'm sure it will be more $$.

Interesting.. any more specifics?

The Nav101 is the add on module for their current headunits. Are they saying that they are making a new nav add-on? If so you can get the current HU available now and just add it....

Or are they saying their is a new HU which will have the new Nav102 preinstalled already?

FP and Lotus F1:

I too am looking forward to getting a new head unit. I've spent many hours browsing websites looking for a great match. There are some single DIN units out there /w IPod connections and 7" pop up screens. I'd also like a unit that fits well with our consoles (sliver, looks like it belongs, etc.) and has GPS, HD Radio and Bluetooth (for my phone), and satellite options, etc., as well. I've not found anything thrilling in this year's lineup. So I'm waiting for next year as too. Besides, GPS technology has been plummeting in price - I'm expecting the HU's to follow suit.

At the same time I may well upgrade the speakers and subwoofers too, though they don't have to be done together.

Hopefully something comes out that we're all pleased with. If it works out, maybe we can buy a few or even get a group buy going at the same time for a better price / value?

I'm looking for the same thing in a head unit. Single DIN, flip up touch screen, HD Radio, iPhone 3G Compatible, 1/8" input, siver color, and a partridge in a pear tree. JVC has a nice one with a single DIN 3.5" screen, but I think I'm waiting for something better.

I have the JVC with touchpad. It has bluetooth and USB/IPOD built in and you can add modules for b/u camera, HD radio, SAT radio. Currently, I have Sirius, IPOD, Bluetooth functionality plugged into mine. The 3.5" LCD display is the best feature, with crisp images- you can play digital media video on the unit as well. Best feature is that it blends into the dash well with respect to background lighting color and faceplate color. Downside- faceplate is easily scratchable; mine with fine scratches in circular pattern from volume up/dn.

My experience with Audiovox electronics has been mixed. Their OEM GPS nav units and companion software are light-weight in my opinion. And not cheap for what you get. But if you just want major roads and full, if not stellar stereo features, they do OK.

I've always gone through Crutchfield. Install help is priceless and they give you a kit to put it in your car.
I'm looking at a Pioneer AVIC-N4

Any comments?

It's a good choice feature wise, but the basic look of it is not a match /w the Crossfire at all - in styling or color. Also the pricing is steep considering how far LCD panels and GPS have dropped. HD radio is now standard on many units, as are inputs for various sources, Bluetooth, etc. I'm hoping for some new models to make an appearance with a closer styling match, newer feature set, all at a lower price.

Just a note.... for anyone that has a portable Garmin unit (I absolutely love them and their interface..) Kenwood's navigation is made by Garmin, so look into those if you like Garmin. Their newer models don't match the Crossfire at all, but the navigation IMO cannot be beat. I had tested virtually every model of in-dash I could find with Navigation and nothing came close to my Kenwood with Garmin GPS.

I have a friend that just installed the Kenwood 8120 in his Miata. He absolutely loves it.. Unfortunately, it is a double DIN unit and won't fit the Crossfire.
Crutchfield is, though, offering a single DIN unit that will fit the Crossfire. It is the Kenwood KVT-512 + KNA-G510 (Garmin GPS add-on) system with and a free backup camera with the system-on this one the screen comes out and up when it is needed.

Go to Crutchfield.com and go to Shop - Car Audio & Video - Outfit My Car.
Then just fill in the information about your ride and what you want and, voila, you'll see what fits.

I'm not affiliated with Crutchfield. I just like using their site to find out what fits and find reviews on the different setups.

Available at Best Buy if you want to see it $399 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1215819593385

WHOA....Anyone familiar with Savinglots.com? They have it for $324.50 DELIVERED http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=VM9312HD

I like the rearview camera option....small rear window makes backing up difficult without this...

Okay, I'm also researching units.

The less expensive ones at BestBuy and SavingsLot are the VM9312 model.

The model originally recommended is the VM9512HD

On the questions of NAV101 or NAV102. It is a separately purchased accessory required by the VM9312 and VM9512HD in order to add Navigation to the units. Currently I've seen the NAV101 for about $250. I have not seen the NAV102 for sale yet.

KFrom what I understand the Kendwood has a much more sophisticated Navigation unit, but it is about a $400 add-on. So, the Kenwood works out to about double the price.

Tough decisions. None of them, though, mention iPhone 3G compatability or Sirius television.

I've replied before to similar threads before and some seem to put down my choice. It was costly ($700+) and it is black, not silver. But it has all the features I sought including 7" touch screen, built-in updateable NAV GPS that doesnt rely on CD disks; Bluetooth; DVD,CD, and my IPOD connects right up to it with the screen displaying my Itunes selection lists (presently 2900 musical tracks). I have the rear-view camera installed as well. I would have preferred something in a silver finish, but couldnt find anything with all the features I wanted in that color and 1-DIN. If you are interested, check out the Valor NVG-120W head unit. I've had it in over a year and wouldn't change it out for any other system, silver or not.

"Sirius Television"??? Or did you mean Radio? The Jenson has XM and they will be merging so I wouldnt sweat it to much... As for the Iphone 3G question... I don't think you will ever see that specifically mentioned as all phones with bluetooth capability will be able to connect and work.
