Default Matte Black Vinyl Roof?

The car is in the shop right now getting some things painted, but most of all the back is being completely repainted and redone with the license plate area a flat black, rear diffusers flat black, emblem flat black, and tinting my tails tomorrow. Thinking of completing the flat black look with perhaps a matte black vinyl? Any thoughts?

Im torn because although the front hood emblem will be black and my grilles as well with my rims, I'm still torn.

I personally love a black roof on many cars and think they look really good on the Crossfire coupe. Matte, flat, gloss, carbon fiber - whatever floats your boat. But I say go for it.

I think you should do it. If money allows, I will do a CF cap on my roof and deck lid/spoiler to match my hood.

All these positive comments about changing the car! Awesome.

3 years ago it was a bunch of "no's" and "I would have to see it first" or "not to my liking but its your car..."

How times have changed for the better!

Once the car gets out of the shop ill take a better look on how everything flows. My buddy does vinyl work and would do the roof for $50 for labor. Not bad.

Do u guys know where i can get some good matte black vinyl that wont break the bank that would cover our roof portion?

Well, I'm 51 and the original owner of my car - yet I jumped right in and encouraged him to go for it. Some of us don't mind a few tasteful mods (and I happen to agree with the "stay away from the chrome" comments!!).

And proud of it!!

I have the CF hood also and am gonna do a CF wrap on my roof and deck/spoiler also. Do you know yet whose material you are gonna use? I've read were 3M has a textured type wrap that sounds nice.

Have you considered spraying the roof yourself with Plasti Dip paint? If you don't like it you can peel it off and the cost would be minimal.

I think this would look awesome: Carbon Fiber Wrap - Carbon Fiber Vinyl - DINOC Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap

I'm actually just needing to find some time to get down to the vinyl shop to get the roof done. Hopefully in the next few weeks. I'll post pics up when I do.
