I was one of the early hackers. I started in the software business 39 years ago at the age of 14 (old by today's standards, but that was young back then). I can assure you that no one who has been in the software business for 39 years has been too overly concerned about violating proprietary software rights. However, I can also assure you that no one who has successfully survived in the business for 39 years has openly violated proprietary software rights. Just a word of warning ... I don't think that it is in the best interest of CrossfireForum to openly advertise that it is offering material for free download that is the legal property of DaimlerChrysler Corporation.
However, you do as you wish ...
NO PART OF THIS PUBLICATION MAY BE REPRODUCED, STORED IN A RETRIEVAL SYSTEM, OR TRANSMITTED, IN ANY FORM OR BY ANY MEANS, ELECTRONIC, MECHANICAL, PHOTOCOPYING, RECORDING, OR OTHERWISE, WITHOUT THE PRIOR WRITTEN PERMISSION OF DAIMLERCHRYSLER CORPORATION.

I have contacted the seller and they say they cannot do it for me, nor can any of the Chrysler dealers I have spoken with.

Although I respect copyright issues in general, I also believe that every Crossfire purchaser/owner has the right to access literature that is available in order to properly maintain their vehicle. This is especially important in this case considering the fact that the owners manual contained erronious information regarding oil capacity/requirement and the Service Manual appears to be correct.
This is important and required information.
I don't think that the Service Manual is readily available "for sale" anywhere and I don't believe borrowing a copy in order to sell or make profit is acceptable. However, for the purpose that we as owners would have for this manual, I don't believe it is improper to pass on this information.

HELP: I purchased this Crossfire Repair Manual on e-bay at the following site. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
It appears to be a PC version CD and I can't open it on my MAC. Can anyone with a PC convert it to a MAC version so I can say I didn't waste my money purchasing an "OFFICIAL" repair manual ???
Please download from my site and convert it to MAC format if you can. I just don't understand why they would sell an "OFFICIAL" service manual on e-bay that can't be opened in MAC...
Your assitance is appreciated as I am REALLY disappointed that a DC reseller would sell an "OFFICIAL" service manual that doesn't work with MAC.
I would suggest that any of the forum members who can convert PC to MAC give it a try to help me out. Here is the link.

When I purchased the CD on e-bay it was guaranteed as the "OFFICIAL" Crossfire Repair Manual. And GEE, I'm not very computer saavy and I can't figure out a way to convert the manual from PC to MAC and open it.

erm. the actual file is just a .pdf isn't it. Just get Acrobat reader for your Mac. Or is this just an excuse to post the file for people again?!
The CD version consists of just a few .pdf files and an .exe file. Forget the .exe file, since you don't need it. All you need to do is download a copy of Acrobat Reader to view the .pdf files. Acrobat Reader is available for download free from www.adobe.com

Now you worry me 'cause I use a Mac too and I just ordered one from techauthority. But I have Virtual PC in my Mac so I hope it will work if I'll open it through Virtual PC. I just dunno how to convert the files yet from Virtual PC to Mac (without PC 'causing some problems).
