For you Mobil 1 bargain-hunting forum members, here's Mobil's current 3 month rebate offer. I took advantage of this last year; purchased oil from Walmart and received a rebate check in 2-3 weeks. A 5 quart jug of M1 0w-40 from Walmart including Michigan sales tax comes to $3/qt after rebate.

Yep. You can get two 5 quart jugs with a $12 rebate on each. Since the rebates end in May, you may also be able to catch a Walmart rollback price between now and then.

 

I saw that there are 2 rebates allowed per household. Does that mean I need 2 receipts?

 

That's what I do to be safe, but per the rules, you could use the same receipt with 2 rebate form submissions.

Using the online form and uploading a pic of the receipt is a snap, but you have to do it twice.

I just bought the last 2 five quart bottles of Mobil 1 0W40 from Walmart
Bought them on separate receipts and did the online warranty claim
One rebate in my name and the other if the wife's name

$27.32 each with tax
Almost a 50% savings on two or like a buy one get one free after rebate

 

Saved the link to the Mobil online rebate form. Plan to take advantage of the offer between now & end of May. My current supply of Mobil 1 0w40 is down since I just performed an oil change this past weekend. Probably will buy only one 5 qt jug. An oil change for me is every 2 years with the miles I drive the XFire. Don't need to keep a lot of oil on hand with that use.

Quick update - Mobil website shows my rebate check was mailed yesterday, so roughly a month from submission to approval and cutting the check. Not bad.

 

I did the same thing here in MA Gary, just about the same price.

Both my checks were mailed on Wednesday

 

I got both the $12 rebate checks yesterday (Saturday)

 

Submitted for two Mobil 1 rebates at the end of May and got the checks yesterday. I had actually forgotten about them.

 

I just received mine as well.
