Re: Full Support from X431 Scan Tool for Crossfires
I was able to pull codes, clear codes and everything I messed with seemed to work perfectly. Was VERY fast which is a big win over my other scan tools.

Not the exact one I have since mine included the tpms sensor wand for activating the sensors and it looks different too. Mine has the bolster for holding it on one end that the obd dongle goes in when your not using it and the other end is thin.

“Not the exact one”.
Could you please share details/images of the unit you acquired. There appeared to be several to choose from
The one I have doesnt do the cloning as far as I know. Its for setting up new sensors only as far as I know. But I havent messed with that part enough to say for sure. What they did with the one I have is that they included with the scanner a cheap version to talk you into buying the fancier one. But I believe for what I will be doing I wont need it. If it turns out it will help when I replace the sensors on the crossfire one day I'll buy it and post about it.
Next weekend I was going to tinker with the tpms stuff on the crossfire more. This weekend Ive got servers coming in Im setting up and its my birthday today
Weather here is pretty screwed up so I dont get much outdoor time and there isnt a bunch of room in the garage right now. One day its in the 70's and the next its cold. Its 29 degrees outside right now while I'm typing this.

I really feel for you with the weather you have.
The warmest its been here is about 38 deg and I have just come in from using the snow blower on the driveway. The lawnmower sits untouched for the last five months.
So give some thought for your northern neighbours.
We are farther south than many US citizens so we are not as cold as they are.

Has anyone tried this tool on the control top module to see what it reads and controls. I'm having issues with my top now and every time I take in to see the problem I get charged a diagnostic fee. In the long run it might be worth the cost.

Have you taken the car to a European auto mechanic that does Mercedes Benz's, Ask before you have them work on it if they do the top hydraulics/electronics systems. Good luck!

Yeah, that is usually best (self help) with this car and your wallet. Sorry your having these issues but there is a wealth of help/information that ultimately solve this with the car. I hope you can stay with it, we have quite a forum/membership for the most part. Good luck!
