Rear Window Defroster

The tab that holds the wire to the rear window defroster has fallen off the window. How do I reattach it to the window? Is there a glue that works?

Rear window defroster not working!

My rear window defroster does not seem to be working anymore. :mad: Can someone out there give me tips on what to check for before I bring it into the dealership? Someone mentioned a microswitch up front somewhere, but I can't find the thread. Looked all over the border of the windshield for a microswitch, but didn't see anything I recognized. If you have a photo of it, I'd appreciate it. Also, what to do with it once I locate it? Hoping it's something simple. Love this car.:confused:

Thanks in advance!

Re: Rear window defroster not working!

Look at this site for the 2005 Shop manual;
http://www.majormotorshotrods.com/_d...27s_Manual.pdf (download this file and save it on your computer as it takes a while to download and saves time in the future)
Go to section 8G-14 for the testing of the convertible rear window heater.
Also check fuses 4, 25 and 26 under the hood.
If the light is on in the switch, it is a good sign and it is not too big a problem, hopefully.

Will do. The light is on, just doesn't work. Thank you!
