Default Infinity Reference - $80

A darned good price for a pair of the (IMHO) finest door replacment speakers available.

Just in case anyone has any money left.

I replaced all six factory speakers in my other car with Infinity Reference units and it transformed the sound. I take these are a direct plug and play swap for the door speakers in the Crossfire and that you have them in your car, Max?

Yep. I've used Infinity Kappa or Reference speakers in every car I've upgraded. Including my children's cars.

If you buy them from Crutchfield, a Plug-n-play adaptor is included.

That's what happens when the only thing you see is the link

I planned on buying these speakers and many other audio components from Best buy, before I saw these prices. I'm a little conflicted though, Although Best Buy is about $20 more I am still considering purchasing through them. I have dealt with Best Buy as far as repairs and returns go, they are the best. They will replace any speaker you blow for free, (as long as you have the warranty) no questions asked. I don't know how Crutchfield will be to deal with.

Crutchfield for most of you is a mail order / on line business - but they do have 2 stores here in Virginia, When I got my home theater system a few years ago I went to them all Best Buy; Circuit City(may they rest in peace)
2 high end locals; and Crutchfield - without a doubt - the most knowlegeable; helpful of the bunch was Crutchfields, - they will match or beat any other major players price. every once inawhile I'll drop by their store here - looking to upgrade my amp (home) and talk to them about the speakers for the car.
Personally - I can not stand Best Buy and would drive without a radio if that was my only choice - before I would buy ANYTHING from them.
the return policy is the toughest in the industry and and after the return period is over they couldn't care less - take it up with the manufacture - "we only sell their stuff" is the attitude I have always had.

Some might not agree with me - but tough!

Crutchfield has now dropped the price of the SE6500 to $50, so I just ordered a pair for my doors. Hopefully they will fit.

Eclipse SE6500 6-1/2" 3-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com

By the way, how difficult will the door panels be to remove?

There's a sticky for the procedure.

Found it, thanks! Doesn't look too difficult, although the door airbag makes me a little nervous.

Yeah, it did to me too. No issue, but if it makes you feel better, you can disconnect the battery 15 minutes before you start work!
