Default Finally Purchased A Head Unit To Match Dash

I bought this to match the silver dash and to replace my in dash DVD. It is a sound quality deck and I believe that it will look very good in the dash soon.

looks like it might match pretty well, post pics after install please, as well as impressions of sound quality

(it seems whenever I change out an OEM system, the new system always sounds worse -- maybe because I buy cheap stuff, lol)

Yeah, I used to be into car audio and I bought an inexpensive (as far as in-dash DVD players go) DVD player. I have it hooked up through the stock amp using the speaker wires on the back of the unit and it made it sound a LOT better than stock but I caught the bug again and am going with an SQ system. This CD player is what you call a "dead head" because it does not produce any power, it only sends a signal to the amps that you install (in hopes of sounding better). It is the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) Carrozzeria DEX-P01 which is the same as Pioneer DEX-P9 in the USA. I will get pictures as soon as it is done but I have two more amps to install before this.

How much is that unit? Also is that a plug in and play or requires modification?

It new was $1200 but this was an nearly perfect used model that I imported from Japan for about $400. You need external amps because this has no internal amp for sound quality purposes. They are hard to find and considered as one of the best head units ever. This is the Carrozzeria (Japan spec) version so it is even harder to find.
