Memphis MP66 + Infinity 6030cs installed
Finally got around to installing new head unit and door speakers after the passenger midbass blew. What a sweet upgrade. The Infinity Reference 6030cs were an exact fit. 2 ohm and 92db. Even left the OEM grills on. And the Blaupunkt Memphis MP66 was the easiest swap there ever could be. Removed the oem Infinity, slid in the cage, clipped on the oem harness, attached the U.S. male to Euro female antenna adapter, fished the usb cord to the passenger net and slid in the head unit till it clicked. MP66 took me 15 minutes to install and it's a perfect fit. The color TFT display is very clear, sharp and readable. All running through the oem amp and the sound is awesome. Big difference being able to tweak the sound eq. 16gb flash holds all the music I'll ever need. Will add the bluetooth adapter later on when I upgrade my phone since the unit is already bluetooth capable.
Now the real dilemma... The new system sounds so good that it drowns out the engine sound that I was lovin from keeping the sound down with the blown speaker! So the neat thing I did was stick the thin remote onto the middle of the steering wheel, so volume changes are effortless and I won't be wearing out the volume ****. Way cool...!!!
