Radio Security Code

Exclamation Radio Security Code

Ok, so I got a new radio head unit put in my Xfire.....$200 later.... So im selling my stock one on ebay, Infinity without the Nav, I just received a message if the radio has a security code. & I have no clue what that means...HELP!

Benz radios have a security code. If the battery is disconnected they think they are stolenand shut down. You need a code to re activate.

That said, I am unaware that the Crossfire unit is so equiped. I have disconnected my battery often with no issues.

That said, I cannot say for certain the radio does not have such a lockout theft protection.
I do not see it in the manual.

Much less can I find a code on any paperwork.

If the radio is out of the car, try powering it up. If it does,no codes. Your OK to go.

I've tested three crossfire radios in my car and none required a security code.

No code required.

Just changed mine out with a used one out of a 2005 and no issues / no code required.
