Re: OEM radio

Yea, Don didn't want mine with the sticky black knobs ( from a base model )

Re: OEM radio

Ala_xfire,
Sir, the reason I did not want your radio is not because of the black knobs but cause it is not the same part # s that is on my radio.
So therefore, I politely passed.

I apologize Don, I was just jabbing Dave in the eye with a stick again.
No reflection on you, I completely understand.
( BTW, the part number difference is only indicative of the black knobs for the base model, otherwise same radio )

Re: OEM radio

Thanks for that info, I am just trying to replace my radio without a lot of hassle.
Have a nice Sunday.

Re: OEM radio

I have this one from my 2004. The car had 6,000 miles on it when I pulled the radio.

Re: OEM radio

If he gave you a decent price.. kinda like his meds are working... then the only "hassle" is in pulling the knobs off and swapping them. Just saying..

Re: OEM radio

I think your radio might work fine in my car. Even thou they have different part #s. What are you asking for the radio?
Thanks,
Don
Does your car have navigation system?

ala_xfire 03-13-2016 01:29 PM

Re: OEM radio

$50 + shipping, and no, no navigation.

onehundred80 03-13-2016 01:53 PM

Re: OEM radio

I sent pictures, said the numbers are correct, said it works, said the knobs were not sticky or yellow, said it was $45 including shipping.
You sent me six PMs and we still are not finished. I withdraw my offer, too much hassle.
Ala_xfires radio looks OK, take it.

I think he might have been replying to me, I added pictures. I was mainly just showing what was on a 2004 without Navigation, but I may sell it separately. I want to gather all of my Crossfire stuff up first and see if anybody wants it all, preferably local, or meet at Woodward...

Thanks,

I am talking about the PMs to me and not what was said on here.
I was trying to be helpful and answered all the questions only to be asked them all again. The radio is unmarked, works and has great knobs, yeah that could be funny.

Sorry, I did not mean to piss you off. I just don't know how to work this post system very well. Would you still sale it to me?

Re: OEM radio

Just spoke with Don. He's local to me. He's going to take mine.

pioneer4x4 03-14-2016 08:36 AM

Re: OEM radio

That works best, local is always better. I was only offering pictures with a different part number to show that different years look the same. I will be selling mine sometime soon, just not in a rush. I should have swapped it back in the Crossfire before I traded it, oh well.

Re: OEM radio

Yes, you should have.
I would have been tempted to buy that KMR-D562BT from you.
( at the mrmiata price of $5 ) :):):)

onehundred80 03-14-2016 09:50 AM

Re: OEM radio

Anyone buying a used OEM radio would be wise not to buy one with the part number A 193 820 00 86. The 00 means it was the first version radio and they had problems with display being hard to read in daylight. There probably are a few out there, though most will have been changed under warranty. They were fitted to the 2004 models only.

So buy the A 193 820 04 86 models they are the fourth upgrade.

Re: OEM radio

I do have the dead Clarion M502 I bought to look at converting the lighting to green/yellow. Start the bidding, nice condition, partly disassembled, doesn't work, no mounts...
BUT I can make it light up, so I might change the LEDs anyway.
