Car attempts to start 3 times, then refuses to crank. I'm gonna SKREEM.

Today I'm moving out of my current apartment, so naturally I need to move my SRT6. Went out to start it, cranked fine, fired up for about a second, then whirred to a stop. Did the same thing for a total of 3 times, then refused to crank. Reset the battery, same deal, 3 times, then done. I noticed a scratching sound coming from under the hood near the cabin.

After a good amount of research, looks like I have a SKREEM issue. The car only sat for about 6 months from the last successful start, and it only has 15k miles on it. Here's what I tried:

1. Removing fuse 9 to bypass SKREEM. The only thing this did was to remove the scratching sound I was hearing. I'm assuming that was the alarm.

2. Tried 3 DIFFERENT keyfobs, known working with new batteries. All 3 fobs unlock and lock the doors fine, as well as allow the car to crank.

So here I am, the day of my move, and I'm stranded in the parking space.

Are there any alternatives to spending 200 bucks on a tow to the dealer, then another $500 to replace the module? What can I do in the short term to get my car moving? Any other tips?

Have it towed to your new place and order a SKREEM module, put it in yourself.

You did not tell him where to buy the SKEEEM.
He should buy it from NeedsWings, less than $250.
