christmas gtg at norm's in whitby

SOCO members,
there will be a christmas gtg at norm's in whitby december 11th at 4:00 pm. the theme is a wine tasting and wine exchange night. bring two bottles of wine that evening.......one to taste and one to put into an exchange. you will taste many great wines and also take one home . norm has reserved 5 rooms ( 2 spoken for already) at a nearby hotel in case there is a desire to stay over.get a hold of norm at normallaire@hotmail.com if you are attending. the soco group will be joined by the SORO ( southern ontario reatta owners).
cheers, ;)

I should be in for that one! I won't stay over night but I will make a day of it. If it snows I will take the S10 otherwise the crossfire will be there!

If you do end up bringing the Crossfire, can I take for a spin early in the evening before I have too much vino?. I'm worried about suffering from Crossfire withdrawl this winter and am already depressed thinking about it.:(
Hope to make it to the party.

Thanks Nick.

Hey Nick, to date no excuse to miss the GTG. Nothing on the calendar that I can see...unless some other commitments (family) come up...I should be able to attend....

If the roads are dry...I'll be bringing the Crossfire...

I found while I was over in Australia that a decent Shiraz goes well with McDonalds lol

I'm actually serious btw,

We're booked into the hotel for the night, so I am already for some wine tasting and some fun. With Chuckles coming we are guaranteed some laughs when he and Nick and get together.

No, my better half is coming and Nick said Chuckles is coming with him and his wife.
Chuckles has an IV attached at night with a special saline/alcohol drip, as he hates to waste time sleeping when he could be drinking.
He thinks that's the best all round solution to the problem as it hydrates him while still keeping a buzz going.

Can someone please pm me Norm's address. Would really like to make it but unsure how it will work out as the boys both have hockey mid afternoon one in Grand Valley and the other in Collingwood. Still hope to see you all.

I have to say that I was really impressed with having attended my first SOCO event. The venue was wonderful, the hospitality was endless, the food was fantastic, the conversation sparkling (thank goodness the wine wasn't - albeit I don't drink wine so why would I care?), and the attendance was impressive.

All in all, an enjoyable evening and a chance to meet some very nice people! Even "St. Nick" (as he is certain to be known from now on) seemed to be on pretty good behaviour! Thanks for all that you do, Nick! I must admit, though, the photos leave some questions for me ... . One thing that I'd like to have been able to do last night, is to associate the names of people (photos) and their online monickers. Glad to meet all of you, nonetheless!

Norm et al, thanks so much for having Mary Lynn and me into your home and making us feel like a part of the group. Great evening. I look forward to being part of a couple of cruises - however long or short, when the weather warms up. I'll tell you, Crossfire ownership seems to be alot of fun so far!

Best of the season to everyone and thanks, once more!

John
