Selling my roadster soon - how much should I ask?
Selling my roadster soon - how much should I ask?
Hello
Hopefully it is ok to do this on this forum. I plan to sell my roadster this spring and would like some help determining an asking price. Bought new in October, 2009 so it still has more than 1 1/2 years of factory warranty. Current odometer is 10,242km (about 6400mi) and the car is as close to new as you can get - all stock (factory wind deflector added between the roll bars, and K&N air filters) and no accidents, not even one door ding. I have had no problems with the car, and do the oil changes myself, so it has not been back to the dealer since new. The dealer never parked it outside and I have kept in in my garage since new; never winter driven. Window sticker is included - list price was $55,150 - I can't imagine that any actually sold for that price. Includes extra oil filters and cabin filter.
Details:
2007 Limited, black exterior, two-tone grey interior, automatic, does not have the nav option.
I live near Regina SK. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Yes, even though the Canadian dollar had gained much ground by 2006-07, the automobile list prices took a long time to catch up. Chrysler and others profited by sticking with the previos 60 to 70 cent exchange rate. Probably one of the reasons why the car sat at the dealer so long.

An SRT Roadster with those miles would be $19K to $22K.
Yours has an automatic (I'm not a fan of two-pedal cars, but the fact is, an auto is "driveable" by anyone where as a manual is not) so the target audience for it is, well, larger than a stick. Sounds like the only option missing is the NAV, which is kinda useless by today's standards, anyway.
So.......... I'd think $17K to $18K - that is a VERY low miles car and those are getting more and more rare.
That's my opinion.

I appreciate the input. Local listings indicate that prices (asking) for better cars in western Canada seem to reflect the higher Canadian MSRP's. Coupes range from $11K to $18K depending on mileage etc. SRT coupes with 30K to 40K km range from $23K to $27K. Convertibles range from $13K (108K km) to $25K for a Limited with 30K km. I will likely start at $25K and see wht the response is.
