Default Help!

Hey guys,

Has anyone ever siphoned gas out of their Crossfire? If so, any certain way to do this? There is a high calibar car show (which you have to apply to see if they will allow you to show) at a local Convention Center. One of the many rules are that you have less than 1/4 tank of gas which they will check. Unfortunately, I have a full tank. I will not be driving the car as I am getting it ready and will take some time. I briefly tried once before with no avail. The tube would not get down to the tank. I assume as a theft deterrent. Any help would be appreciated.

TRY this:

1. leave it running over night. Just be sure if its in the garage leave the door up.......JK

Use a fish tank air tube (all pet shops carry it) and try to get it down into the gas tank. It will take some time to siphen out the gas, its a small tube.

Let us know what happens.

I've already tried the fish tank tube to no avail either. Hopefully someone does post how to remove the gas without difficulty.

I will try again today but this did not work for me the last time. Again, I assume it is a theft dererrent set up or something that will not allow a tube to fit down in the neck towards the tank. It sucks as well trying to time things right for a romp at the track as well and would be nice to be able to get some out when necessary before hand.

Hey guys,

I found that the rigid tube on my pump to do the oil change from above will work. You have to work the tube just right in order to pass all the obsticles.

I hear that. I am still waiting on whether I am accepted into the show or not. I am not looking forward to the work to get my car up to snuff if I am going to participate. I hope to hear this weekend. Since it is a daily (or almost) driver, there is just a tremendous amount of time that is needed to compete with cars that are mainly just for show. Since the factory black paint shows everything and came from the factory with many imperfections, it makes it even worse.

In the time it took to type these posts you could have burned off 3/4's of a tank.

That is just it, I already put a full days worth into paint prep when I found out this was one of the rules. Was not going to start over at that point by driving it 200 miles which was where I needed to be.
