A friend and I have already planned to go to the Lonestar Rod & Custom show in Austin on the 18th http://www.lonestarroundup.com/schedule.html but maybe I can get him to go early and we can cruse up. What is the schedule?

 

I'm glad you ask because they never said what time so I'm going to call them. I usually go from 10-2pm Here is a little more info for now.

 

If I have my car back from repair...I'll be at the Killeen show for sure. I'll probably check it out either way..with or without my xF.

Ok, I called and left a message to see what time everything is going to be. So it looks like I will be in the Tuner Mild Category, because of all the nitrous etc. I don't want to be competing with mustangs and Z06 corvettes .

 

The schedule:
registration from 7-12
show ends at 4 pm

The guy running it told me that the early birds get to park inside. That sounds good to me I can park there at 7 a.m. and come back at 10 and stay until the end.

 

Any more takers? Did I mention they're having a bikini contest? Hope I can get more pictures of models with my car.

 

Well the nitrous bottle is full and I tested the purge yesterday. All that there is left to do is clean the vehicle for the show.

You all let me know if you want to park together, because if you do we need to show up at the same time. OK?

If I make it it will be around 1-2:00pm and I will probably be in my friends car (maybe his 32) not my XF, it really is according to the Hot Rods at the Austin show. I'm sorry I can't say for sure but I'm sure you know what happens when you get to lookin at lots of cool cars, it's 10:00am then you look up and it's 3:30pm. There is usually lots of rod parts at this show and my buddy has to touch em all.

Sorry I missed that show man. I kinda let the weather ruin my day. Got my ride back though...it nasty as hell. Would love to see your ride in person...I don't think I would've been able to focus anyway from the looks of your model. Nice ride man!

 

Yeah I keep the car all open at the shows. I might do another show the 25th next SAT! Thanks Matt for coming out!!!

 

Here is an update on the last show on MAY 2nd. This one was hard having a 11 sec ZO6 corvette and a brand new mustang Rouch etc. I got fisrt place and a giant trophey!
