With illinois, have to get the paperwork from the dmv for a lost title and they just have to sign.

I made an four day effort to purchase this car . . . Gary (Valk) was kind enough to be standing by to assist me and I had arrangements in place to have it shipped to Florida. The problem is that I could never establish any reliable communications with the seller. He did not respond to simple questions and only texted back . . . "I'm busy . . . Call me". Come on . . . You can't tell me if you have the key(s)? That's a yes or no question! Better luck to anyone else who might be interested in this one . . .

Makes you wonder if the SO is trying to force the car's owner to sell due to family and the owner is going through the motions of selling but really won't sell. I have seen that on craigslist a lot. Recently I had tried to purchase a motorcycle that was priced fairly but never could get straight answers. A 2 passenger car with a family of 3 doesn't work well when the SO wants to have 2 more than 2 passenger carrying vehicles to use.

 

I would suggest being very cautious if replying to this ad. It is not like the old days.

Over the past few years I have been car shopping for myself and others I have come across a bunch of these attractive tempting opportunities that seem to be more oriented to collecting verified phone numbers and email addresses than in selling a car. Those who only want to communicate by text I get particularly suspicious of.
