Default Crossfire Coupe may have bad Fan Motor ?

Here is a very short video allowing everyone to hear and see the tapping sound in the dash that others have posted about on this forum... could it be something we all need to be aware of? Maybe a fan recall in the making... Anyway watch the video (do not care how slow your connection is, it is a very small video, so watch it)... also note the AC button on the cluster is flashing on and off, started thinkin I live close to an old nuclear waste dumb and maybe the Crossfire came with it's own in the dash radiation detector... hooah ... Yes sir I need to write that lemon letter to Chrysler... hooah

Could be just a Coupe thing...

FirebaseD...excellent job!!!
I have the exact same noise. It comes and goes. When it is making the noise, turn the fan on low and it goes away. Of course it never does it when I want to so I can't complain to the dealer. My brother is the GM and that does nothing for me when it comes to service. I will probably replace it myself when it gets bad and force Chrysler to pay for the part.

My son says it is like a popcorn popper.

Man, that's weird...sounds like something is trying to escape from your dashboard.

I had the same problem with the noise from the glove compartment. However, it has not happened in last few months. Here is the thread from the past regarding same(?) problem.

Is your car parked near a nuclear facility? I think your radio is in the Geiger counter mode.

FYI... don't mean to burst your bubble; you are kidding yourself if you think you will get ANY dealership/car company to pay for a part you bought and changed yourself. It doesn't work that way.

Ben...let's just say I have my ways. Every once in a while the "family" comes through. I got the full set of repair manuals that way - if you know what I mean.

Thumbs up Re: Crossfire Coupe may have bad Fan Motor ?

yes there is a chrysler recall of one of the fan motors. i had mine replaced free at the chrysler dealer in about 20 min. there wasn't any trouble with mine but i received the recall letter. so you should get yours replaced even if it is working fine now.
