Crossfire Showing Off

Re: Crossfire Showing Off
what an idiot... that clutch will last about 20k tops... some poor driving skills. ;)

Re: Crossfire Showing Off
well thanks andrew that is me. it is very tough to get this car to burn rubber or even do a standing donut.
|
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
Didn't see that coming.

Re: Crossfire Showing Off
Put the rear wing down to reduce down force on the rear tires. :) Questions for you, is the car stick or auto, summer tires or winter, and traction control on or off.

Re: Crossfire Showing Off
Good call, I didn't even think to look again at the car to see if it was a base or not.
|
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
the car won’t do burnouts, even if the traction control is disabled. sideways motion is clipped by the ESP. it should let you do a standing burnouts though. start practicing --

With a short wheel base, nose heavy, high performance car such as ours, it should be able to do "donuts" with ease. Maybe they are immature, a little hard on the car, and dangerous (if performed in the wrong place at the wrong time). But at least he chose a deserted parking lot (like the Mustang ad promotes) and they can be alot of fun. My AMX does it with ease, and I have to admit, it’s only been a few years since my last one. (sorry Andrew) ;)...Boyz will be boyz no matter how old we get, and besides, what's the sense in having a "muscle car" if you can't get a little "crazy" every now and then? |
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
For you guys that are complaining that you can't spin the tires, truth is if you’re spinning the tires you’re losing the race.

I guess we can thank NASCAR drivers and their "winners circle donuts" for bringing back the popularity of 360's. |
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
Looks like a woman driver to me - none of them can park proper.

I think this car needs much skinnier rubber in the back to do 360's. My opinion is the car gets good rear traction with the meats it has in the back. Heck, Dad's CTS-V has 245's in the back and it's got 400 hp, 395 lb/ft of torque! Nevertheless, I don't like doing 360's, but it's fun seeing others do it. |

One thing for sure, the Crossfire was designed to not waste anytime "slip sliding" away. That's one reason it goes thru the slalom faster than just about anything else. Upstates last quote was right on the money. |

Re: Crossfire Showing Off
hey that's the saudi-haliburton school of evasive driving!!! never any coalition forces around when you need them. ;)
|
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
yea i crossfire will do donuts... that parking lot was not the best place to do one with that big parking thing in the middle. but my question is. the silver around the window was that car black around the window or just the way it looks on the movie?
|
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
its black; its a base model... black windshield surround, black door handles, no fog lights, etc.
|
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
aah i did not know that. i like the black around the window. is there a way to do that to a limited coupe.
|
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
yup, paint it --
|
arab drift!!!!
did you check out that arab drift video??? that's some real driving!!! :D
|
Re: arab drift!!!!
Yeah, they don't show you the parts of that arab drifting video where they've killed or seriously injured several bystanders. They also don't show you how many cars they have wrecked getting to that skill level.
But, hey... it's just chlorine in the gene pool... :D |
Re: Crossfire Showing Off
this is the wrong car for this by far ... make another video of you driving around by some hotties your age as they stare at the car uncontrollably... now that's showing off in a crossfire done RIGHT. :)
