Sun Visors

Hi,

I know this is a silly question. But has anyone come up with an attachment for our tiny sun visors?

When I drive home and the sun is in my face, I try to sit up tall, lol...But sometimes that just does not work! I need an extension, so I can see!

Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Cruiser

I agree, I'm sure this has been talked about before, but maybe someone has found something new recently. This visor design is really antiquated. I guess the sun just comes straight at you in Germany!

Years ago, you could buy a green plastic extension that clipped onto the factory visor. It looked awful, but it worked. I think I got mine at K-Mart. I haven't seen one in years.

A wonderful thing they invented long ago... Sunglasses. I have several.

Gee Thirteendog, what a wonderful idea. BUT...I wear tinted glasses, so I can't where sunglasses. And the tint on my glasses, really is not enough.

But thanks for the thought!

I bought these for my wife, who has sensitive eyes, and she loves them. They work well, although you do need to be careful with the rather breakable attachment mechanism. Sort of like our cupholders...

I like the Sun Zapper ... but ... is it me, or does everyone's visor only come down to shield the front window only? ... the visor is fixed and you can't move it to shield the sun from the side windows.

Not just you. Mine doesn't either and I'm pretty sure none of them do.

On a only vaguely related note... Does anyone know the size for a sun shade for the windshield? The local autoparts place only has them in huge and larger.

they are all fixed...

i would guess this is b/c the tapered roof line/headliner near the side windows. this wouldn't allow them to pivot accordingly... w/o inference.

it has been annoying on occasion...

the other funny thing is pulling up to traffic lights (at the line)... you sometimes have to bend down to look out the front windshield to see the light. :) the plus of a low roof.

I have a sunshield that's two pieces. It overlaps in the center but it works just dandy. It's the kind that twists into a circle when "folded". Wal-mart, $6+/- .. a few years back. It's worked in every car I've had so far.

I use one in my Roadster, but I installed it upside down for those days when the sun is right over the windshield frame and the top is down. It adds just enough blocking to let me drive towards the sun without much trouble.

I have to thank Maxxm once again.

I ordered my sun visor extension. It works great! I also "had" to order the custom fitted sun screen, and the Bag to keep it in. It fit's perfect... Thanks for the web site!
