BAS/ESP light on - Dealer can't figure it out
My dealer ripped my steering wheel out of my car to fix a creaking type noise that was coming from within the column. They tell me they ordered a new steering shaft. After they got it back together the BAS/ESP light wouldn't go off, so they ordered a new clock spring and some sort of unit that measures the rotation of the steering wheel (the name escapes me). After installing these parts the light is still on. They say they've tried re-calibrating it and resetting the computer, with no luck. To top it off, the only crossfire trained mechanic is now on vacation for a week, so my car will just sit there until he comes back to "jiggle some wires around" the service manager tells me. My car has been there for 24 days today. This is unbelievably frustrating.
