Well actually it does. Since you live in Colorado you are more then familiar with the copious amounts of salt and gravel used on the roadways once the first snow hits and doesn't get washed off until the spring rains. Driving in the winter is like subjecting your car to sand blaster followed by a corrosive dip. My car goes into storage before November and doesn't' come out until April . Even with the 3M bra rocker panels I still have to contend with rock chips in the windshield, fog lights and where the 3M material doesn't cover. I am not concerned with the stability of the car in the winter just the cosmetics.

AGREE!! I said this in another thread. I see lots of Bimmers and MBs driving around and the majority of those are RWD. I think we've become so accustomed to FWD or 4x4, as soon as the snow hits. We start to panic because we have a RWD car. I have lived in CO my entire 34 years and have driven many RWD cars. Just get some good snow tires and you'll be fine.

We don't use sand and gravel in CO. It's a new liquid "de-icer" CO DOT created. No worries about scratches.

I need to plan for winter storage and was looking at the car bubble looks like a good idea. You drive the car onto the base, zip it up and plug in the fan. It blows up around the car and keeps fresh air circulating.
Anyone ever use one?

The De-icer isn't used exclusively in Colorado because I have driven to Denver for a few Christmases and Thanksgivings and passed some of your sand trucks on the interstate and within the in Fort Collins city limits.
