Default XF, A Milestone Car?

Now that I got your attention, do you think the Crossfire will ever be recognized by "The Milestone Car Society"?

http://stores.ebay.com/auto-memories...tone-cars.html
Or Google it for even more info.
Personally, I think it could happen someday. After all, there has been some pretty impressive cars built since 1972, so they're going to have to update their list eventually.

Not to sound dumb but what is The Milestone Car Society?
Ah sorry just read the rest of your post.

Edit -
Ok, I just checked out the site and I now I can say I don't care if it makes the list as the list is not that great.

Wow, tuff crowd.

I don't know Stryfox, I think if the Crossfire made it, we'd be "rubbing shoulders" with some pretty impressive rides IMO.

In most "classic" automotive circles, it's considered to be a rather prestigious award.

I do think it could have a real shot at making it. There are some pretty unique cars on that list, it would be in pretty good company.

Why would the XF make it, wouldn't it be the SLK 320 that made it? Being truthful, our car is nothing more than the taking of a previously existing car that was already being replaced and putting on a MUCH nicer looking body and selling it for as long as they could. I happen to think the end result is much more spectacular than the original but a milestone automobile? I don't think so (JMO).

Well for the SRT...

1. Single Year Production.
2. Unique Styling.
3. A "Made in Germany" Chrysler.
4. German Engineering.
5. Low Production Numbers.

"Cars are included based on distinctive styling, engineering, performance, innovation, and/or craftsmanship."

I think the key word is DISTINCTIVE.

The Crossfire's distinctive characteristic that could result in it being included such in a list is STYLING. The SLK320 is not particularly distinctive in styling.
Neither car is highly distinctive in engineering, performance, innovation or craftsmanship.

I don't know if our cars will ever make it or not.

It would be nice to be able to click on the list a see a pic of some of cars. I wonder what this thing looks like NSU Wankel Spyder (1964)???

If this thing can make it I don't see why ours won't!

ROFL... Wayne, but remember, you have to put everything in the proper perspective. It was 1964, it was a European designed car (aesthetically, not what most Americans would be caught driving) and it did have a "Rotary" engine. (Pretty innovative).
But you're right, it's not a "stellar" example of some of the "better" cars on the list.
