You know what I found interesting? He did not bash our car, but he asked the one question that we have been asking ourselves -

"How could a car based on a Mercedes SLK roadster go so wrong?"

Can we say poor PR? Bad press? Lack of trained mechanics? Having the Chrysler name on these cars gave it a bad mark from the get-go?

The jack *** liked the Civic and hated the McLaren...

Absolutely one of the worst, useless "best/worst" comparisons I have ever read. No substance no meat, just opinion (and not even much of that)!

His only comment is that 6-footers don't fit -- but there are plenty of members of this forum over 6 feet who have no problems with that at all. And as for skipping a year of production, the Porsche Cayenne did that, too, so the company isn't too bad on that point either.

He also didn't do his homework that someone can pick up an '05 for about half that price or near $30K making it a hell of a deal. He merely puts it there as a miss primarily due to price (just like the SLR) IMO.

Yup... that price remark is not up to date...The xfire promotion is a disappointment, but the car is not by far.

95% of the people on this forum love the car because it is an awesome machine.

I strongly feel that bad press for the car is what really sunk sales for the Crossfire. Nobody respects it simply because some, and I emphasize "some" reviews bashed the car for being "old."

Exactly Maxxm...I'm 6' and have absolutely no issues getting into and out of this car. Now, in fairness, I did have to learn my Crossfire twist, which took a few days, so I imagine that those coming into the show room and get in the car once find entry a bit challenging. It's not a SUV, it's a sports coupe.

I like this car more and more...it's a shame it's gotten so much bad press.

Wait until you try to get out of a Lotus Elise!
