NEW (unused) 2006 Crossfires going to Dealers!
I got a call from one of my Chrysler dealers today, and just yesterday Chrysler asked them how many NEW 2006's they wanted. This dealership asked for 10, but that is all I know so far. Cars should arrive at the dealer in the next day or two. Have any of you guys heard this from a U.S. dealer yet? These are NOT OFF-LEASE units, they have been sitting at the port forever.
Yes this is true as I stated in another post. Chrysler is asking any dealer if they want any 06's. Then they are giving the employees the option to lease 06's for another year. If there are any crossfires left after these actions, they are going to be sent around to Chrysler auctions across the country.

They were in the 2006 Crossfire Brochures (I have one). Ask your dad if he can find out for sure if there are any SRT-6's included in these 2006 models or not.

I will ask him the next time I talk to him.
When they offered the same deal last year the SRT6 was available. So, I would assume if there are any 2006's it would be an option this year too.

OK thanks! Like I said, they were in the 2006 brochures, but that does not mean that they actually got produced. Let us know what he finds out please.

Ok, my next question is, Did the images look like actual "photos" of real cars? Or did it look like very well done artist "conceptions".
From everything I have read and heard, there are not SRT6s beyond 2005. If you go to Chrysler.com and look, the site is finally updated for 2006 Crossfires. Only base models and limiteds are available.
I thought the same thing when I first saw the 2006 Brochure, but they all look like "real" photographs to me. And it was several of them too.
I would bet that some went to Canada, and even some for Europe. That is why I thought that there may be some included in this 2006 model year batch for the U.S. All I know for sure is, if you see and read the 2006 Brochure (the USA one, not Canada) they sure had plans to produce some.

I also checked out the Chrysler Canada website - no 2006 SRT6:
http://www.chrysler.ca/en/crossfire/index.html
The Chrysler UK site lists a SRT6 coupe, but I don't see anything denoting model year:
http://www.chrysler.co.uk/chrysler/v...x?ID=311,5,114
If you download the brochure for the SRT6, it shows pictures of non-SRT Crossfires and a few of actual SRT6s.
Who knows. Chrysler seems to be as clueless as us.

I would hate to hear that there is a 2006 srt... it would make our car less exclusive because 1 production year is defiantly the way to go.
The 2006 Brochure (that I have 2 of) is the one sent to the dealers to give the public (non-electronic). DCX may not have built a single 2006 SRT-6 (who knows), but they did have them in their 2006 dealer (non-electronic) brochures.
Those brochures were probably printed, or at least created, when there still was going to be a 2006 SRT. I doubt they would reprint hundreds of thousands of them just to omit the SRT. The rest of the brochure is still good!
