I'm doing a bike trip down to Siesta Key at the end of May. If anyone wants to meet up for a beer, coffee or whatever, let me know.

 

where are ya starting from ??? Wife & daughter went there 2 yrs ago & loved it !!!!

 

Joliet... without much of a plan. I was going to entirely stay off interstates, but there is someone I want to meet down there, so there is a schedule for me getting there. Other than that, I might meander on the way back... maybe stop and see a friend in Shreveport, maybe Nashville... not sure. Not even totally sure where I am staying at any point. I'm going to bring camping gear, but I'm not even sure I'll use that. On past bike trips I was good for sleeping on a picnic table (under a pavilion if it was raining) at a rest stop or park.

 

I'm heading out this week... Thursday night or Friday morning. I expect to be in Siesta Key on Saturday or maybe Sunday. I'll be there until June 3rd or 4th.
