one time clicking sound

This weekend I had to use the air conditioning and I had it all the way up to the number 3 position, then turned it off, and back on again. What occurred then was a "clicking sound". It was very noticeable at positions 1 through 3 but began to fade at positions 4 and 5. I'm pretty sure it was the speed of the fan that made it go away.

Anyone had this issue yet?

Does it sound like a hard drive type click? I have it sometimes as well. So far no problem with anything. I think its been brought up here before but there was no definitive answer as to what it is. Its in the area of the glove box and it lasts a few seconds after starting the car and is intermittent.

I think AMGlover is spot on. I can't reproduce it anymore...go figure.

I had a very loud triple click come from my steering column area once while stopped at and intersection (and I mean loud, probably around 80-90 db). But it never happened again, so I can't even begin to look to figure out what it was. Any one else have this happen?
